History
Melody Food Park developed alongside Melody Market in the G-6 sector of Islamabad as one of the city’s earliest informal food hubs. As Islamabad expanded in the late 20th century, small eateries and street vendors began setting up around the market area to serve nearby offices, residents, and visitors. Over time, these stalls grew in number and popularity, organically transforming the area into a dedicated food street.

By the early 2000s, Melody Food Park had become a well-known spot for traditional Pakistani cuisine, especially BBQ, karahi, and late-night snacks. Unlike modern food courts, it retained a classic street-food character with open seating and family-run stalls. Today, Melody Food Park is considered a nostalgic and cultural landmark of Islamabad’s food scene, representing the city’s original street-food culture before the rise of upscale cafés and restaurants.
